Roman Mamedov: > You don't even need 2 hops in this case. Why not propose 1-hop?
I guess you do. A censor can just block all the exit nodes (the Tor network has hardly 1000 exits). It is not going to help you. It's worth to separate bridges and exits so you will be able to replace bridges (which have much lower half-life than exits). torrio...@net.hr: > Could the same be done for people that are more interested in > censorship circumvention then in anonymity to decrease latency and > conserve bandwidth so instead of building 3 hop circuits they could > build 2 hop circuits? IMHO the best long-term solution is to improve overall latency/bandwidth of the Tor network. So noone should ever concern about circuit length (and make awful mistakes) and everyone get anonymity by default. -- Ivan Markin -- tor-talk mailing list - tor-talk@lists.torproject.org To unsubscribe or change other settings go to https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tor-talk
