I find that Google gives better results than DuckDuckGo. I used to use
Scroogle before they closed down.
I get the 403 error from time to time. It depends on the exit node
rather than Tor per se.
The 403 is different to being forced to do a CAPTCHA and then obtaining
the search results. The 403 does block any results and basically says
"this is all we know".

I don't entirely understand-- the problem was that Google was
preventing
you from accessing any link to the program by denying the search
request
altogether, right? And the fix was... finding it off Tor?
After your first email I tried a few different search variables to
duplicate the 403 error, but they were all successful.

Well I found what I was looking for for someone when I got off the tor
proxi. It was a link to mp3 gain they needed for mac. And that's what
I was doing a google search for at the time.

I'm not sure what google has against tor.

Oh good, I'm not theeonly one seeing the error then. Well I guess I
will have to not do my google searches when using the tor network
then I guess. I use the proxi method of tor so yeah glad it fails to
on the tor browser. Well, nt glad, but glad I'm not feeling like I'm
going crazy.

Well I tried it and it gives me that error. It seems that google
is blocking tor. At least that's how it seems to me.

I can try it out, but if it is not accessible to me using
voiceover that won't work at all.
I'll look into it later. Right now I'm trying to write some
documentation on something I'm designing, and I just came up for
air for a bit.

Hi, Sarah.
Until I know - and I know almost nothing, sorry! - Tor doesn't
block
Google resources and Google's official position about Tor Project
is:
"Google is not doing anything intentionally specifically to deter
or block
Tor use."
Just for curiosity, try to use Duck Duck Go instead Google for
making your
searches when using Tor, please.
It is pretty cute and some of their collaborators are amazing
people.
Happy "quack quack" experience for you! :-)
Have a lovely day!
