@loldoxbin claims to have been a part of a group that ran one of the sites taken down (doxbin). At 6:53 on Nov 7 2014, the account began a series of tweets which might give hints as to how the servers were found <https://twitter.com/loldoxbin/status/530765088366821377>. It involves a DDOS in August this year: "Something to note from that graph: There were lots of very odd layer 7 ddos requests which affected tor performance moreso than anything ... like my TCP buffers weren't even close to max, but I had to mess with the ContrainedSockets options in torrc in order to have availability. ... Intangir and I even talked at the time about how it was probably a deanonymization attempt." -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: APG v1.1.1 iQE8BAEBCgAmBQJUXUrpHxxKYXkgTWNLaW5ub24gPGpheUBvcGVuZG5hLmNvbT4A CgkQa23kxFVhMHnQDQgAt7l1CvI2GKF0PvQVre9kT6V6fthvUNoCp126T/dTw/oZ gcAe6gwIz6A3xQ33tP9DJQbCqkQJUv2clm3ba7jUqBrgfpFQ/6v8WDbQj4YRwHyS qcFYpvMJ0hUyxstVHw443JP5Mg3K0X/sAbqhHMPuorHxRNs2D5BslCVZXkfVM7jk iUH/Y5jCgW+9khjvEprQSa4lXbmSQOg2V9pwFAVtya5W4Oubw1ThdI4S8nq2M/ua jGfLA38UEm21nCmvWRDJ8ntSqwut6nwAdV10sMbny/g7L3/Hz9SbG5P9WyDJbtl5 gLCb4nEcrOa+BqrYQb3AczFhSgNJkCD7Kew+ifSFWQ== =GCT1 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- tor-talk mailing list - [email protected] To unsubscribe or change other settings go to https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tor-talk
