The directory authorities assign the Fast flag to the top 7/8s of relays by bandwidth: https://gitweb.torproject.org/torspec.git/blob/HEAD:/dir-spec.txt#l1623 Lately this cutoff has been around the 40KB mark. It's an area of active research what the relationship is between this "minimum bandwidth cutoff" and the resulting performance changes: https://trac.torproject.org/projects/tor/ticket/1854 but I am increasingly suspecting that raising it to 100KB or even 500KB would produce an improvement. --Roger _______________________________________________ tor-talk mailing list tor-talk@lists.torproject.org https://lists.torproject.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/tor-talk
