Hi Simon,
this probably got broken with one of the Eclipse upgrades. I remember
some of these features only worked in the old (Eclipse) Navigator panel,
but we switched to Project Explorer a few years ago.
To see where your graph is imported, you can open it and (with the Home
resource selected) go to Resource > Find usages in workspace. This will
show incoming owl:imports statements (among others).

I can't recall when it stopped working but I know it didn't in at
least 6.4.
I have tested on a clean workspace and it doesn't work.
I don't know if it's related but sometimes the URI's of ontologies
will not render in the project explorer too. However, I think showing
these are triggered by opening an ontology in the topbraid perspective.
