Hi David My noise level on top band is not too bad as I live near Lake Ontario and am not totally surrounded by rf noise generators.
I’ve tried a few rx antennas (LZ1AQ loops, DX Engineering short verticals, magnetic loops) but have settled on the inv L for receive. I just don’t have the room for decent rx antennas. This is certainly my limiting factor. I keep thinking of a remote rx site but haven’t found a spot that is available to me that also has good internet. 73 Rick ve3mm On Sun, May 5, 2019 at 3:25 AM CUTTER DAVID <[email protected]> wrote: > Hi Rick > How do you find your inverted L on receive, or do you have separate rx > antennas? > David G3UNA/G6CP > > > On 05 May 2019 at 00:55 Rick ve3mm <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > > > My lot is 60x100 ft with a swimming pool taking up most of the backyard. > I > > managed to squeeze in an 160 m inv L running from the back fence to a > tree > > in the front yard.
