A solar flux of 97 is not what I would call a solar maximum. More like a bump in the new Mayan Minimum. Who knows what will happen on December 21 :) . Don't forget that in previous sunspot maximum's, we would go 3 or more years when the flux would never fall below 100 for even a day.
