That would work, however I am trying to avoid to place any extra
requirements on what the WorkerServlets have to implement. Having
to implement childInit() instead of init(), vs calling super.init()
in their init() method is pretty much the same.
I guess what I really want is for init to work the same way as
constructors work in ordinary classes, but I can see that's just
not going to happen ...
