http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35553 Summary: can't delete and recreate '/' context Product: Tomcat 5 Version: 5.5.9 Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows Server 2003 Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: Unknown AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I always install Tomcat on the C: drive and place my root context files on another folder. In the past, I have done this by deleting and recreating the / context since I was not able to edit it through the administration utility. On 5.5.9, attempts to do this resulted in the admin utility showing that it was deleted when it really wasn't. The only way I was able to get around this was to create a ROOT.xml file in conf\Catalina\localhost and make my changes there. It would seem like either the administration utility should be able to change the docbase -or- let the user remove/create it. Also, creating the ROOT.xml manually seems like a crazy hack that I never expected to actually work. -- Configure bugmail: http://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
