+1 for AJP14 :)
Well, I wish that we first write a spec
before doing any coding.
AJP13 extension proposal is a good starting
point, but IMO needs a lot of work to become
AJP14.
For example my wish list is:
1. Multicast support
2. Single and two phase authentication
3. Encryption
4. Compression
5. Node topology discovery
6. Node topology status
7. Node topology management
8. Cluster topology discovery
On my wish list, include:
9. ACK for Tomcat -> Apache/IIS/SunOne data so that Tomcat can handle
network errors (e.g. "stop" button) instead of Apache/IIS/SunOne having to
tear down the connection.
I think that this is what I mean by 'Node topology status'.
a.) I'm going to stop
b.) I do not accept new sessions
c.) Please redirect to node 'xxx' instead
d.) I'm stopped, don't bother me.
e.) I'll shut down in a moment
f.) I'm too busy, take it easy.
g.) I have new context.
etc...
10. Support for full client-cert chains
Mladen.
