Hi all,
i'b been used for a long time with Tomcat 4, during development, to use install task to install a webapp directly from the ant build directory and remove task to clear that webapp from tomcat.
Now i've jumped to 5.5.4 and i saw that install/remove tasks are still mentioned in the doc and they are still present in the catalina-ant.jar, but using them make weird things happen.
Are they really still supported?
If not please remove them from the doc and from the jar.
No they are deprecated. They are also deprecated in the whole 5.0.x branch.
The documentation that I can see (http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-5.5-doc/manager-howto.html) as well as the deployer tool do not mention install or remove.
