Sharng the Http request between frontend webserver and tomcat

Hi,
  If using AJP connector to redirect requests from frontend webserver
to the backend tomcat engines, is it possible to share the same Http
servlet request object? I am setting some attributes in the request in
frontend webserver, but those attributes are not available in tomcat.
I am using AJP13 connector.
