Second, you might be interested in recent discussions on the tomcat-user mailing list (archives are publicly available, e.g. at AIMS) as to why neither reloadable nor reloading via the manager webapp is that practical in the real world. Third, if you're curious about the performance impact of setting reloadable="true", I suggest testing it out. It's usually negligible, but of course you need to test your own app on your own hardware. Finally, I suggest you use the mailing list to discuss this problem. Bugzilla is not intended to be a discussion forum, and is not good as such. If after discussing your issue on the mailing list you can come up with a WAR we can use to reproduce what you're seeing, then please reopen this issue and attach said WAR.
