Hi, Primarily because of the JDK dependency change. We want to indicate that this is more than a point release, e.g. 5.0 to 5.1, and it has more changes including significant API changes. But we don't want to use a major version change e.g. 6.0 because we want to keep those corresponding to Servlet Spec versions.
