Hi,
This as much tomcat-user as tomcat-dev: you may want to ask there (or
search the mailing list archives), as this has been discussed in the
past and some people have implemented it.  We don't have SIP servlets in
the tomcat distribution right now, but we're not opposed to one if you
want to write, maintain, support, and advocate it ;)
