http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=22192 Dash chararcter in webapp path replaces other deployed webapp Summary: Dash chararcter in webapp path replaces other deployed webapp Product: Tomcat 5 Version: 5.0.6 Platform: PC OS/Version: Windows XP Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: Other Component: Catalina AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] If a dash character is present in a webapp path name, a webapp with the same name up to the dash will be rendered inoperable. For example, given servlet 'A' deployed at path /test and servlet 'B' deployed at /test-b, servlet 'A' will be rendered inoperable after servlet 'B' is deployed. If servlet 'B' is assigned a path with a dash (e.g. /testb), everything works.
