http://nagoya.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=21552 Web Admin Tool deletes needed entries in server.xml Summary: Web Admin Tool deletes needed entries in server.xml Product: Tomcat 5 Version: 5.0.3 Platform: PC OS/Version: All Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: Other Component: Webapps:Administration AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED] I created some virtual hosts entries in server.xml which had several context elements declared within them such as /admin and /manager and the "" context. I started Tomcat and logged into one of the vhost admin apps and modified some settings and then did a "Commit Changes". The caused Tomcat to completely rewrite server.xml and in the process it wrote out the virtual host entries but there were no contexts within them. It also deleted every comment that I had placed in the file. What I would expect to happen is that it would just rewrite or add the element that I changed and not affect everything else in the file.
