I am currently seeing a lag of about 5 hours for cvs commit messages. Normally it only takes a few minutes. The lag may be due problems on icarus (the cvs server) the last few days.

Personally, I'd make the fileDateFormatter configurable (it is, admittedly
low, on my to-do list to make this configurable for Catalina loggers -- It's
a 3.3 feature that I miss :).
