you never know. if it's a slow leak, precompiled pages may not exhibit the leak. I only discovered the leak in our custom tag when I put the app under moderate/medium load. Under light load the bug wasn't apparent.
I'm guessing if you hit each page individuall slowly, the bug doesn't appear.
