As opposed to other reports, in my setup it also occurs if the webapps is on the same drive than tomcat. I extracted the zip to: F:\Tools\bin\jakarta-tomcat-4.1.10 (no spaces, same directory layout as in zip). However, the JDK is on another drive, namely D:\Java\j2sdk1.4.0_01. With 4.1.9 in F:\Tools\bin\jakarta-tomcat-4.1.9 it works just fine. Questions: a) what are the easy workarounds? b) what version of ant is bundled with tomcat? c) what's the ant problem behind this bug?
