as service do not get port number from server.xml properly

Please check you didn't have another webserver running as a service or 
standalone application on port 80 (like IIS or Apache). I use Tomcat as a 
service on port 80 with Win2k, and I would have noticed the problem.

You can check the logs to read about the problems (logs/stdout.log and 
logs/stderr.log).
