Being an old-time Samba hacker (worked with Andy Tridgell probably 5/6 years ago, God knows whether he remembers my name) this definitely looks cool, also because we received (Paulo, correct me if I'm wrong) a couple of requests for that at [EMAIL PROTECTED] The only thing I'm concerned about is JCIFS's license, LGPL which basically precludes us to include in our source tree, as we can't really deal with its "viral" aspect. You said you've "done minimal modifications" to JCIFS, but those as well will have to be covered by the LGPL, and so, despite the fact I like _a_lot_ what you did (although I'm not a CIFS PDC/BDC user myself anymore), I can't see an easy way out... It would be possible, though, if your modifications were integrated by JCIFS itself into the core, and if (by poll of this group) we decided to accept code importing that library in Tomcat... My 0.02 £ after spending way-too-much-time with lawyers... Pier -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For additional commands, e-mail: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
