The Sun developers working on Tomcat all have their own favorite OSs
-- which is good, because Java works on multiple platforms, and we want to
ensure that Tomcat does as well.
FWIW, nearly all of the original Catalina code was written on a Linux
based system, and it continues to be my primary development platform.
That's also where the nightly builds and releases of 4.0 get created.
