first of all, this is the wrong mailing list. You should be using the
tomcat-user mailing list since this list is dedicated to the Tomcat
developers (not developers using Tomcat) :)
A good place to get you started of what a web application is, is to read the
servlet specification. Read the section about WAR (WebARchive) files.
Secondary, to deploy a web application all you have to do is put the file in
the $TOMCAT_HOME/webapps directory and it will run by itself
