I have used Bill's qmail toaster on a number of servers, and always
been plagued by double bounce messages to my postmaster mailbox.
People commonly get this problem when they use a catch all email
address, as chkuser won't reject mail to non-existent users at the
SMTP level - but in my case it's because I have a lot of users who are
often over their quota, which generate double bounces when spammers
try to mail them.

I recently read about Russ Nelson's doublebounce-trim patch
(http://qmail.mavdns.net/doublebounce-trim.patch) to discard these
double bounces, and figured I would give it a go. Then I noticed that
this patch is downloaded if you follow Bill's toaster instructions as
of version 0.8.11 - 11/6/2006, however it is not actually applied.

I've applied it, re-compiled and re-installed qmail and now my double
bounce problems are a thing of the past - fantastic!

I figured i'd just point this out for anyone who is looking for a
similar solution.

Bill, if you're reading this - I can understand why the patch is not
included by default, but it may be worth mentioning this with
instructions for people to optionally enable it when installing qmail.
And thanks for such a great toaster!

Gareth
