I see there are two ways to run dovecot:

   1) Run "dovecot" binary which does everything.

   2) Start it via inetd or similar (daemontools) by executing
      "imap-login" or "pop3-login" binaries. If you're listening
in SSL port, add --ssl parameter.

Option 1 looks easiest, but I have a feeling using option 2 under
daemontools is the 'proper' way to do it. So the question for those who
have already upgraded is, which way do you prefer? Why? A copy of your
existing run scripts, or rc.d script would be appreciated, and may make it
into the next version of the toaster. At least I'll submit the complete
package to Bill when I'm done.

I've nearly got the toaster running on my Solaris 10.5 box using Dovecot
to provide pop and imap services. Once I get it running I'll post the
following:

o What to do different installing the toaster on Solaris 10 vs Linux,
providing a Linuxy install that might not make Solaris purists all that
happy. A Solaris purist is welcome to move everything to /opt/csw and
update the instructions.

o Toaster like instructions on how to install Dovecot instead of Courier.

Thanks, Rick
