I now have it disabled, but it would be nice to have that as well. If anyone can please check this, would be great. Perhaps an updated patch?!

Okay after updating to the latest vpopmail, I saw alot of people having
issues while authenticating with smtp. I thought recompiling qmail with
toaster patch will do the job, but alas it didnt. After a day of trial
and checking AUTH PLAIN and AUTH LOGIN, it seems CRAM-MD5 was the
culprit for certain.
