I found that I had to add the path to vpopmail:
echo "/home/vpopmail/lib" >> /etc/ld.so.conf
ldconfig
before the second qmail make.
That is not necessary. conf-cc should have the correct path to
vpopmail's include directory, and at the top of the Makefile, you have
the path to vpopmail's home directory. As long as these are both
correct (default is /home/vpopmail), and vpopmail is indeed installed,
then the Makefile will properly load the vpopmail libraries as listed in
~vpopmail/etc/lib_deps.
