svc -du /service/* /service/*/log

I found that just -HUPping freshclam did not update the log entry, so
I use this script for /etc/init.d/freshclam

#!/bin/sh

COMMAND=$1

if [ "$COMMAND" == "start" ] ; then
    echo -n "Starting freshclam daemon ... "
    /usr/local/bin/freshclam -d
    echo " done."
    exit
elif [ "$COMMAND" == "stop" ] ; then
    echo -n "Stopping freshclam daemon ... "
    killall -TERM freshclam
    echo " done."
    exit
elif [ "$COMMAND" == "reload" ] ; then
    echo -n "Restarting freshclam daemon ... "
    killall -HUP freshclam
    echo " done"
elif [ "$COMMAND" == "restart" ] ; then
    echo -n "Stopping freshclam daemon ... "
    killall -TERM freshclam
    echo " done."
        sleep 5
    echo -n "Starting freshclam daemon ... "
    /usr/local/bin/freshclam -d
    echo " done."
else
    echo "usage: $0 start|stop|restart|reload"
    exit
fi
