hi bill, et al.

thanks much for the pointer to 'grep read'....that gave me the info i
needed with the logs not coming up.

this install seems to be all messed up right now.
i have read through the LWQ and countless lists from google looking for
answers but feel as though i'm chasing my tail. if this is not the
appropriate list for this type of question, please let me know and i'll
move along...

it is what i had assumed to be a very simple setup.

we now have mail getting sent to "mail.domain.com" and have a pre-
existing domain setup within vpopmail/qmail as "domain.com". however all
we are getting are the following errors (for all accounts):

@4000000042445bc33b130df4 starting delivery 65: msg 448148 to local
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
@4000000042445bc33b131d94 status: local 1/10 remote 0/20
@4000000042445bc33b56931c delivery 65: deferral:
Unable_to_chdir_to_maildir._(#4.2.1)/

we need to have all "mail.domain.com" mail get delivered to the
"domain.com" existing accounts.
before this change, mail was always arriving as [EMAIL PROTECTED], not
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

my qmail-showctl is as follows:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] qmail]# bin/qmail-showctl

is this correct for the setup we need, or is it possible that there is
some other permission problem within the vpopmail/domains folder?

[root /home/vpopmail/domains]# ls -al
total 32
drwx------    6 vpopmail vchkpw       4096 Mar 25 10:23 .

drwx------   45 vpopmail vchkpw       4096 Mar 25 10:24 domain.com

thanks much for any help or pointers.
