I've gotten some calls from customers recently, complaining about how Verizon will not allow them to connect to our mail server for outgoing mail. Seems Verizon is blocking port 25 for all but their mail servers. Of course, this means we're getting some unhappy customers, because all they see is our service not working.
I did a little digging, and I figure it's possible to set up another qmail-smtpd instance running on a non-standard port. However, before I do this, I'd like to know if there's a semi-standard port that other people are already using. It would certainly be great to be able to tell customers "Verizon is blocking you, but here's our work-around." Thanks again. -Matt
