It's good to see, that the spam & virus-problem become an important subject these days on the list.
I've revisited shupp.org after the announcement of Bill Shupp for the netqmail-patch.
Now i have a problem.
I use the unpatched version of qmail-sources from debian. There some patches are applied in it, others not. But with this sources i cannot apply any patches, because the code seems to be patched for some little things.
When i use the unpatched Qmail-src und try to apply some patches, after applying the netqmail-patch from shupp.org) they won't work, because the structure of the Files is completly different from the original source.
This patches i will apply after the netqmail-patch: - bigtodo - chkuser - sendmailflag (unsure, if affected from the problem) - doublebounce-trim - smtpauthlog - qmail-smtpd-auth-close3
I'm not a master in C and diff, so I manually inserted the lines from the patches in a way, doesn't know, if it can work so.
So, can anybody help me, to insert the patches into the netqmail-patched-source? It is for a mailserver of a association, so commercial support is a problem, because all of the activities around servermanagement are completely done in freetime, after normal working day.
btw.: Sorry for bad english, over the years, writing English more an more rust, because of rarely using it.
Greetings
Christian,
Isn't that sendmail patch already in the netqmail source? Regarding other patches, you'll just have to pore over it until you get them all to work. That's what I did for my "Large Qmail Patch", which is why I released it (so others that use the same features don't have to duplicate the effort).
Cheers,
Bill Shupp
