Hi to
all,
We have just
implemented a qmail/vpopmail implementation with /home/vpopmail/domains mounted
from a nfs server.
The installation was
a success. And we have achieved better performance as the loads are now
distributed over a few machines.
However, I do get
error like these in the system log
kernel: nfs: server
x.x.x.x not responding, still trying
kernel: nfs: server x.x.x.x OK
kernel: nfs: server x.x.x.x not responding, still trying
kernel: nfs: server x.x.x.x OK

kernel: nfs: server x.x.x.x OK
kernel: nfs: server x.x.x.x not responding, still trying

This, I suppose, is
a problem with the nfs server not able to cope up with the high network load.
Correct?
I believe many of
you guys out there have experiences on such qmail/vpopmail over nfs
implementatiopn. Can you guide me on what is the best mount options
that I should be using? And what values for rsize, wsize are you all
using?
The servers are
working as expected ... but I was wondering what further actions can I do to
allevaiate the 'not responding' alerts.
thanks for your
attention.
