Any reason not to "+y or w/e?

I think you want to disable mode-mouse, mouse-select-pane,
mouse-select-window, (and maybe) mouse-resize-pane. I generally keep these
off unless I want to interact with tmux with the mouse (hardly never - mmm,
so maybe enable - like I said, I don't do this).
