As a long-time screen user I had been meaning to switch to tmux and when
I sat down to try it for real I was generally impressed but I realized
unfortunately I use some of screen's more esoteric features extensively
and they aren't all in tmux. In particular I got caught up on (a) lack
of custom key tables and (b) copy mode c, C, and J.

I'm happy to contribute them myself and I think I've even got a
review-ready version of (a) written at this point but I'm not sure how
the tmux community wants patches submitted. The most specific thing I
could find about contributing was this e-mail list and so I ask y'all:
how shall I propose/publish these changes?
