Hi there,

I want to add a user macro for dumping a window's entire scrollback history to
a file, something like http://unix.stackexchange.com/a/26568

In that example the user binds the macro to the P key, but he doesn't give a
reason for choosing P and I guess it's an arbitrary choice.

Are there any keys that are set aside for user-defined macros, that should be
chosen for this kind of thing?

Is there a set of keys that users can be assured won't be defined as default
shortcuts in the future?

Obviously it would be preferable to avoid establishing a preference which will
later require either changing, or changing some other new functionality from
the defaults.

I can see that others have in the past asked the same question about vim (I
think vim reserves the function keys, for example, perhaps also some others)
but my Googling doesn't reveal this asked or addressed for tmux.

I use tmux's vim bindings.

Stroller.
