Thanks for the quick reply, C-b w does not work. Let me explain
more precisely what I'm trying to achieve -

Let's say you have a tmux session with 20 windows. It's difficult to
remember which window holds what. So you hit C-b:, enter list-windows
command, and you get a window with a list of all of your windows with
names. You can then navigate through this list using vim keys. All of this
works perfectly well. The problem is that once i find the line in this list
that corresponds to the window i want to go to, I can't simply hit enter
(or any other key) and go there. And this is exactly how it works in screen
(C-a ' gets you the list, and hitting enter on any of the lines takes you
to that window).
