Your prompt has a UTF-8 character \342\207\222 which appears to be some sort of arrow.
I guess the font you are using is not capable of displaying it, so it appears as a blank space. Either the zsh theme omits it from the prompt outside tmux or (less likely) the terminal is eating it.
