I run irssi in tmux and it runs mostly without problems. However, when my SSH connection to the server is reset (for example, dialup and the connection drops) I am able to log in and get back into tmux, but everything freezes when the original SSH connection times out (sometimes everything works fine for a minute or 2 and then freezes). I am still able to give tmux commands (attach/detach, create new, etc). It also seems that other windows in my tmux session get stuck too, but end up eventually responding.
After a few minutes (sometimes up to 15 minutes) everything returns back to normal. Sometimes I need to forcefully kill the apps I am running inside tmux and start a new tmux session.
