Thanks for having a look at this. However, /it seems/ that this is
not a permissions problem, after all.

There's something new: It's now confirmed that tmux compiles fine
on NetBSD 5.0.2 AMD64 and i386. This is probably specific to the
NetBSD 4.0.1_PATCH (on both Alpha and AMD64) where I'm trying.

Still puzzled.
