Hi! We had a fairly well attended virtual interim on 1 October; 40 attendees to
be exact. Slides and minutes for and a recording of the interim can be found
here:
https://datatracker.ietf.org/meeting/interim-2024-tls-01/session/tls

My purposely brief summary is that we did a pretty good job of sticking to the
intended agenda, which was focusing on the problem statement. We did two polls
that both resulted in consensus for "Yes"; the polls follow:

1. Do you understand the problem we are trying to solve (see screen)?

Where the screen was from Chris’ Trust Tussle slides (18 of 19):

Avoid client trust conflicts by enabling servers to reliably and efficiently
support
clients with diverse trust anchor lists, particularly in larger PKIs where the
existing certificate_authorities extension is not viable.

2. Do you think we should work on this problem?

We are now at the point where those that are interested in pursuing this work
can submit an I-D for WG consideration. The working group can then evaluate the
I-D against the problem statement and other criteria. If there is sufficient
interest the chairs will run a call for adoption.

Thanks to all those who participated. And, a special shout out to Chris Wood
for volunteering kick session off!
