Dear HTTP-BIS & TLS folks,

I have written a new Internet-Draft - The qpack_static_table_version TLS
extension<https://www.ietf.org/archive/id/draft-hewitt-ietf-qpack-static-table-version-00.html>
and submitted it via the IETF datatracker.

My colleague Rich Salz suggested I reach out directly to see if it makes sense
and whether it's worth moving forward, or whether it's just not worth the
additional complexity of a new TLS extension.

If you/we feel that this is suitable as an RFC, Rich and Mike Bishop (who
co-authored the original QPACK
RFC<https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc9204.html>) suggested that my vague "IANA
should do X" should be replaced with something more concrete about creating an
IETF/IANA registry for QPACK table entries.

I would appreciate any comments, positive or negative.

Many thanks,

Rory Hewitt
