Hi all, I would like to continue with the discussion how to fix the non working Ctrl-B (send spot to cluster) function.
Some first feedback went in favor of the following: Am Tue, 1 Mar 2022 19:31:02 +0100 schrieb Thomas Beierlein <dl1...@darc.de>: > c) Let Ctrl-B format the cluster message, but show it to the user and > allow editing before the message gets send (Flexible but would need > at least a second key press - enter - besides Ctrl-B for just sending > the spot.) I would further suggest the following behavior: * TLF prepares the string 'DX freq call ' and allows to add an comment. That is the standard cluster message you have to send. * You can stop the sending of the cluster message by pressing ESC instead of the Enter key above. * Ctrl-B should mainly work from 'S&P' mode. I think it will not make much sense when in 'Run'. * If call input field is set and transceiver online it should send out the DX spot based on teh actual data, but keep the call input field filled. * If call input field is empty (because you just had worked the station) Ctrl-B will use the last logged QSO data. Open questions: * Shall we support entering frequency by hand if no rig is active like we do it for Ctrl-A? * Should Ctrl-B work from call input and from exchange field? Please give feedback if I overlooked something or if you like a different behavior. I will try to prepare a first working version in next days. 73, de Tom DL1JBE -- "Do what is needful!"
