The recent discussion reminded me of an issue I hadn't reported, yet.

Not sure when, but recent versions of tlf using plain vanilla Debian
stable fail to return to tlf after a ':edit'. It does take me out to
the editor, but when I exit the editor, it give me the following error
message as it crashes out:

     tlf: background_process.c:88: start_background_process: Assertion
`stop_backgrnd_process == 1' failed.

It was not and is not a high priority for me, as I just start up tlf
again. It's fairly infrequent I need to go back to the log and
correct something after I've logged it. If I had to do it every 10
QSOs, then, yes, it would be more of a hassle.

I haven't submitted a ticket to the issue tracker; I can if you would
like. I also haven't dug in to try to debug, either, because, again,
it hasn't been a big problem.

I didn't work a huge number of QSOs, but tlf did great for me, as
always, with the recent ARRL SS CW contest.

Best regards,

Drew Arnett
