I've got a new laptop at my work, I've installed a new version of
Mint (18.1). I'll see what that using, and will report the
result.

just a short correction: the keyword in logcfg.dat/rule file
isn't SPLITMODE. The right keyword is SPRINTMODE.

The Tlf manpage contains the documentation.

I've participated yesterday on DARC XMAS, and it worked as well.
