I think the problem is we started to use the rig_get_vfo() in gettxinfo.c (as you remember, there was a bug: if you started the Tlf with VFO-A, and switch to VFO-B, Tlf didn't follow - using of rig_get_vfo() had fixed that). But not all RIG support this feature - in that case, the rig_get_vfo() returns a speciel value, which wasn't handle.
