I followed your commands but I encounter a problem that I cannot get over. More
specifically when I program Tx and Rx CM 5000 motes, connected via usb port, I
only find the recording RSSI values stored to the noise.txt file when I run the
TestSerial java app during the transmission process between motes. If I run the
java app after the transmission process, rssi recordings don’t pass from flash
(through serial port) to noise.txt. I attach the available files if you can
help me.

p.s. Tx_App is loaded to Tx mote and RSSI_Sampling is loaded to Rx mote.

Take a look at the tinyos folder, this is basic manip :

For converting to [dBm] value obtained slightly modify the java code
(RssiDemo) as follow:

I am still stuck on how to convert RssiNoiseSampling app in order to
receive packets, store rssi to flash and after retrieve rssi from flash through

unrecognizable format:

Is there any way to print the received RSSI by using TestSerial Java app
that is included in the RssiSampling folder?

You must read the RSSI on received packets, you should be using instead:

CC2420Packet.getRssi(bufPtr)-45), call CC2420Packet.getLqi(bufPtr));
You can wire CC2420Packet in your configuration file as:

Then in your module:
uses interface CC2420Packet;
