First you need to look to see exactly how the messages look when they hit
the wire, either
by looking at memory just before they hit the driver.

Is the packet being broadcast?

So either the sourcing node is duplicating the packet or there is a
multipath in your network.

what does your topology look like?

If you are serious about developing embedded systems you need to get a JTAG
set up going.

What platform/mote/mcu are you using? What radio? What radio stack?

these are all important details.
