You should be using that for new work. See http://tinyos.stanford.edu/tinyos-wiki/index.php/Automatic_installation for instructions on installed that. These instructions can also be used to install once you have a VM up running some flavor of Linux (Debian or Ubuntu recommended, just because the installation packages are .deb based).
