Okay...   and how did you switch the 2420 out for the 2520?

If you change the hw, it effectively becomes a different platform.

the 2520 is different than the 2420.   The 2520 does have a 2420
compatibility mode but I'm not sure how well it works.

The existing cc2520 driver was done for the sam (cortex) processors.

So I seriously doubt it will work with the micaz.

So bottom line is I seriously doubt what you are trying to do will work.
